Charles Elliott (1836-)

Charles is a mystery. In the 1841 Census he was living with Charles and Selina (nee Ponting), and Selina (aged 15), Priscilla (aged 22), Elizabeth (aged 20). These three were the daughters of Charles and Selina, but there is no baptism record for Charles. Or rather, there are several, but they, after a lot of research, proved to be not the right Charles.

Charles senior was a charcoal burner and they lived where now stands Ivy House, on the Wotton Road.

In 1850, the family were admitted to Wotton Baptist Church and, in 1851, Charles, Selina, and the younger Charles were in the same place.

After that, Charles and Selina died, and Charles disappears from the record.
